Time To Talk | Breaking the Ice

01 Feb 2024 @ 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm –

In this workshop, we will share ideas about how to begin these conversations, whether it’s about how we’re feeling or encouraging other people to open up to us in a gentle way, and guidance on how to respond, if they do feel comfortable enough to do this.

ABOUT THIS SESSION

Time to Talk day is all about creating supportive communities by having conversations with families, friends, or colleagues about our mental health.

This can be easier said than done, especially if you feel that the conversation will be unexpected, or you don’t know how to approach it.

In this workshop, we will share ideas about how to begin these conversations, whether it’s about how we’re feeling or encouraging other people to open up to us in a gentle way, and guidance on how to respond, if they do feel comfortable enough to do this.

If you would like to share your feelings with the group, then there will be an opportunity to do this, to practice opening up and feeling vulnerable in a safe environment with Richmond Fellowship facilitators, however, this will be optional and not expected.

WHO CAN JOIN THESE SESSIONS

Anyone who lives in Surrey and is over the age of 18.

HOW THE SESSIONS ARE RUN

We use the video chat service called Zoom. We can help you set this up, you don’t need to do anything now.
