WHEN

Every Monday

TIME

2.30 pm – 3.30 pm

ABOUT THIS SESSION

A group for all people of all walks of life to come together and share our favourite poems, songs, words, tunes and melodies. All you need to bring is an open heart, and a ready mind – welcome… to Rhyme and Rhythm!

“If music be the food of love, play on!”

Shakespeare had it right, and he’s not the only one who wrote lines about music. Poetry and music are completely interlinked and universal. At Rhyme and Rhythm, we will talk about how verse can be experienced in so many different ways, we will share our favourites and our dislikes, and maybe we’ll even learn a thing or two from one another.

What to expect

Every week, we’ll be discussing and sharing poetry and song that relates to a different theme, which I hope we’ll decide on together. This is a group to help us experience music and poetry communally, to see how different people read, hear, feel the same words and melodies. So whether you want to broaden your horizons or discuss the details of your favourite piece, there is space here for everyone!

WHO CAN JOIN THESE SESSIONS

Anyone who lives in Surrey or NE Hants and is over the age of 18.
